To enable full protection and behavior tracking with ClickGUARD, you need to install the ClickGUARD tracking code on your website. This allows ClickGUARD to collect data from visitor sessions and apply advanced filtering rules.
Follow the steps below to install the tracking code properly:
Step 1: Copy Your Unique Tracking Code
- Log in to your ClickGUARD dashboard
- Navigate to Settings > Tracking Code
- Copy the provided JavaScript tracking snippet. This code is unique to your account and site.
Step 2: Paste the Code into Your Website’s HTML
You need to place the tracking code just before the closing </head>
tag on every page where you want to track activity.
If You’re Using a Static HTML Site:
Paste the tracking code into the <head>
section of each HTML file.
If You’re Using Google Tag Manager:

Create a new Custom HTML tag.
- Paste your ClickGUARD tracking code.
- Set the trigger to All Pages.
- Publish your container.
Step 3: Verify Installation
After adding the code:
- Visit your website and click on a few pages.
- Return to your ClickGUARD dashboard.
- Go to Clicks → Live monitoring → Organic traffic to confirm that organic clicks are being tracked
If no data appears after a few minutes, double-check that the script is placed correctly and isn’t being blocked by browser extensions or cookie settings.
